My stepdad came to visit me the morning he passed away. I woke up from a dream and he was sitting on the edge of my bed with his back to me.
I was alone at my apartment in the dark. He was sitting there silently. He didn't say anything and didn't move. I was scared to see him - wasn't sure it was him, actually; realized that after he passed away.
But back to him on my bed....
I jumped up out of fear and pushed him off the bed as I jumped out of the bed at the same time. I remember hitting my leg on the corner of the bed. The pain didn't matter - I just wanted to make sure he was off of my bed. And he was.
He had disappeared into the darkness.
My stepdad hasn't visited me outside of my dreams since.
